ROSS THE BOSS TO HEADLINE FORCES OF METAL FESTIVAL IN THE NETHERLANDS
Edguy, Circle II Circle, Sonata Artica, Steelheart, Dark Funeral and Samael: just a few of the confirmed acts for what is shaping up to be the highlight of the 2012 European music festival season: The Netherlands’ Forces of Metal.
Now the inaugural two-day festival, which takes place on Friday, June 8th and Saturday, June 9th a...t E3-Strand in Eersel, Netherlands is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime event, because now confirmed to headline the second day of this awesome festival is a true force in metal for more than 30 years: guitar god and former Manowar member Ross The Boss!
Ross The Boss and his band will perform songs from both of their hit albums, New Metal Leader and the recent Hailstorm as well as Manowar favorites. And, for this momentous occasion, Ross The Boss will also celebrate what is both a personal and heavy metal milestone: The 30th anniversary of Manowar’s legendary debut Battle Hymns.
How will Ross and his band celebrate, you ask? By performing the entire opus live!
Not lost on the guitar legend is the parallel between his current band and the musicians who recorded Battle Hymns.
“Although I was around the same age as the guys in Manowar, I was the veteran. I had recorded four albums. I had toured the world. But like my current band, there was camaraderie and the creativity flowed. It was a special time. We were able to tap into this freshness and this energy. It’s one of the reasons I love my band. It’s a great when you have chemistry with your bandmates.”
In addition to the already confirmed artists, the festival will feature three stages and a
Dutch Band Clash featuring 10 local and national artists as decided through posted through various social media outlets.
Those attending the inaugural two-day festival will stay at the venue’s campsite to get “a full rock and metal experience.” In addition to a karaoke night, there will be an air guitar battle for which the winners will take home unique prizes.

Rest In Peace Scott Columbus
No words can describe the great loss of this wonderful person! Scott Columbus passed away yesterday! He was a big part of Manowar and a big Part for a lot of people and fans!
It was a honour for us to play with him last year!

Patrick had a car accident yesterday!
He is really OK! Just some broken rips. He will stay in hospital for a few days. When he is recovered he will be ready to kick some serious ass again!
